“Save a life you are a hero. Save a hundred and you’re a nurse.”

To the extraordinary men and women who risk just about everything to care for us all.

Please accept this simple tribute to your hard work, compassion, empathy, and bravery. Words did not seem to be enough.

My vision with this installation honoring our nurses was to create a group of images that have more impact together than shown alone. I purposefully left the backgrounds white and framed them in white to help create the look and feeling of connection. I painted the nurses loose with liberties taken in both detail and color. My intent was to portray energy and spirit rather than a realistic rendering.

Together we are always more powerful than alone.

Only A Few

All Saints Cathedral – Milwaukee

Curt Crain recently exhibited a stunning collection of portraits at All Saints Cathedral in Milwaukee. The subject’s for Curt’s installation is a large group of men that have impacted Curt’s life in some way.  There are 75   11″ x 14″ portraits  displayed. “The portraits are meant to convey the spirit of the man as well as  the likeness. I limited my self to 90 minutes per painting just to keep them fresh and get the essence of the man, and not get too fussy.”
